Fragrance: Miss
The fact that sex sells may explain the lackluster reception of Donald Trump: The Fragrance when it launched in 2004. For $60, Trump was offering 3.4 ounces of "confidence" and "success," and he predicted more than $100 million in sales. Even the most die-hard Donald fans didn't buy it; the brand was discontinued in 2006. "Not the right image, not the right aesthetic," says Virginia Lee, a research analyst a Euromonitor.
Fresh-faced jailbait Miley Cyrus has been offered a million dollars to promote LifeStyles condoms. Hummm, LifeStyles apparently sees no difficulties with having a 15-year-old girl as the face of their product.
This approach is probably highly illegal but when taking a look from the other side you will see that the condom company is concerned about high levels of teenage pregnancies.
With recent reports showing that one out of four teenage girls has an STD and the high level of teenage pregnancy, we believe that Miley is both influential and relatable to this afflicted set - and is the obvious choice to get the message of safe sex out to teens across America.”
Now that sounds different!
LifeStyles condoms is offering Miley Cyrus $1 million and a lifetime supply of condoms to be the company’s spokesperson.
So that’s alright then?
According to a press release, LifeStyles supports Miley’s decision to remain a virgin until she’s married and doesn’t want her to become another Jamie Lynn Spears. The release states:
With teenage pregnancy running rampant throughout the U.S., LifeStyles Condoms wants to ensure that Miley Cyrus and her legions of loyal fans don’t become just more statistics.”
The lifetime supply of condoms comes in only after Miley decides the time is right to lose her v-card, so she wouldn’t actually be promoting how great the condoms are, since she wouldn’t know with her lack of experience.
Of course, $1 million probably isn’t much for a girl on the Forbes‘ list of the 20 highest-paid teen celebs ( stars under 25), but this could be the perfect way for Miley to be provocative while staying chaste.
All of this started in the aftermath of the Annie Leibovitz photos of Cyrus which caused a stir, depicting her with a brief smattering of sexuality and a naked back.
Later, Miley appeared in revealing camera phone photos which showed her in a wet T-shirt in the shower and posing seductively for an admirer on the internet.

It is not anticipated that Miley will approach her next set of contract negotiations with Disney.
Moreover she has been offending her colleague Selena Gomez over a youtube video. Later she said she’s “super sorry.”
Miley Cyrus and her best friend Mandy Jiroux mocked fellow Disney Channel stars Selena Gomez and Demi Lovato. The last two are much prettier, to be honest. And Miley is not even cute.
Rihanna will do a special Gucci ad campaign for UNICEF children’s charity. It will be the first such complain for the Gucci fashion house.
The “Tattoo Heart” will be out in December 2008 to show Rihanna in limited edition Gucci products, of which 25 per cent of sales will go towards the charity.
Rihanna was selected for her “strong personality”, Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini said. “When we decided to dedicate a full ad campaign to really come out and show our commitment to UNICEF, I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign.”
It seems to be almost impossible to talk about entrepreneurship and not, at some point, come across Bill Gates’ story. He’s the world’s third richest man with an estimated network of $58 billion - not bad for a university dropout.
We’ve featured him a number of times on the YE blog:
* Jared and Vicky want to meet him
* He was voted our #3 top celebrity entrepreneur
* He was mentioned in our Top 10 Movies for Entrepreneurs
* He was #7 on the Top 25 Most Powerful People in Business
* He’s Warren Buffet’s friend
* He’s a role model for entrepreneurs
* His hindsight is 20/20
* And he was the second youngest founder of a company that “made it”
Today I thought I would delve deeper into the Bill Gates story and share some of his advice on the importance of “Never Stop Learning”
“Every now and then I like to pick up a copy of Time magazine and read every article from beginning to end, not just the articles that interest me most,” says Gates. “That way you can be certain to learn something you didn’t know previously.”
Learning is an essential ingredient of any successful business. As soon as you close your mind to the possibility of another reality, you are closing yourself off to other greater opportunities that lie waiting for you. “In this business, by the time you realize you’re in trouble, it’s too late to save yourself,” says Gates. “Unless you’re running scared all the time, you’re gone.” In order for Microsoft to have maintained its competitive edge for the past three decades, it was crucial for Gates and all his employers to engage in a process of continual learning. For Gates, “‘I don’t know’ had become ‘I don’t know yet.’”
The ability to be open to change and to continue to try and improve oneself and one’s business is crucial to success, according to Gates. “People always fear change,” he says. “People feared electricity when it was invented…there will always be ignorance, and ignorance leads to fear.” If you ignore your surroundings and stop asking questions about how to improve, you will be destined to failure. In the highly competitive world of computer technology, where the likes of Google and Apple are becoming bigger threats to Microsoft, it is not difficult for Gates to stay on his toes.
Many outsiders attribute Gates’ success simply to his high level of intelligence. But for Gates, “Smart is an elusive concept.” Instead, he attributes his success to his desire to never stop learning. “There’s a certain sharpness, an ability to absorb new facts; to ask an insightful question; to relate two domains that may not seem connected at first.” It is this curiosity that Gates tries to inspire in his workers, encouraging them to not only find answers but to ask the right questions.
Gates now spends much of his time devoted to the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, a charitable organization dedicated to researching new innovations concerning health and education on a global scale. In this role, he continues to ask questions about the current state of the world and what he can do to both educate others and help relieve the problems. “Is the rich world aware of how four billion of the six billion live?” asks Gates. “If we were aware, we would want to help out, we’d want to get involved.”
For Gates, no matter what you spend your time doing in life, you should never stop asking questions; never stop learning. Whether you’re an entrepreneur or a doctor or a software developer, it is only by increasing your understanding of the world around you that you will be able to have a significant impact. This is why Gates can still exclaim today, “I’m excited by the possibilities.” If you never stop learning, you will never stop seeing the possibilities.

Many of these entrepreneurs and others have invented new products and services that touch each of our lives everyday. Many of them donate to charities and believe in empowering the people of the world.

Jobs sold his Volkswagen van and Wozniak sold his programmable
calculator to raise $1,300. Weeks later, Jobs secured the company's

The Olsen twins have long been hailed as extremely savvy entrepreneurs – and no wonder, since they are the proud owners of a blooming fashion empire that includes their successful "Elizabeth and James" contemporary apparel
label, in addition to various other fashion and beauty endeavors.
Morris and the twins have created upwards of 80 distinct styles for the jewelry line, which has been revealed to include rings, necklaces, cuffs and earrings, all made from silver and antiqued brass with such motifs as snakes, beetles, crosses and daggers. "The symbols are attachable and you can take the jewelry and make it your own. There are solid silver and gold pieces to wear forever and comfort pieces that you’ll put on and wear everywhere", Ashley Olsen herself stated in an interview with "Women’s Wear Daily". The line will be available at Intermix stores all over the States in September. Prices for the jewelry line range from $65 to $700.
